Samia XI, aka Samia Mounts, is a NYC-based singer, songwriter, actor, essayist, and podcaster. As a solo artist, she's released two EPs, several standalone singles, and five music videos shot on three different continents. With a powerful, chameleonic pop/rock voice and a message of compassion, self-love, and love for others, Samia has been dazzling audiences with her original songs since debuting her band at the Brooklyn Bowl in 2012, playing NYC venues including Rockwood Music Hall, the Bitter End, and Arlene's Grocery, as well as venues in Los Angeles and Seoul, Korea, where she grew up.

Samia released her first EP, Samia XI, in early 2013, following with the standalone singles Soul On Fire and The Only One. Her second EP, Moxie, was released in 2015, and she's currently recording a third EP called Mantra, scheduled for released in 2020.

A passionate advocate for self-love, LGBTQ rights, sex-positivity, and alternative relationship structures, Samia weaves these messages through her music and her other projects, including podcast Make America Relate Again, where she had compassionate political conversations with Trump voters, and upcoming podcast Future Love (website coming soon), which will explore what the future of our love lives might look like when we shed the guilt and shame of our sex-negative culture.

Samia is also an accomplished voice actor and musical theatre actor, and she written essays on sex and relationships that have appeared in the Huffington Post, Refinery29, and now regularly on OpenLove101.com.
